White Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispies Valentine Treats
These Valentine treats are fun to make, especially with sprinkles! Check out the recipe to make these easy white chocolate dipped Rice Krispies treats.

I have to admit, after my kids came along I became way more into celebrating holidays. I was always a winter holiday gal, but now I love to find as many reasons to celebrate as possible throughout the year.
The kids totally inspire all of these ideas, just because I like to think up things that they would get a kick out of. And that’s why these little Valentine treats were born.
We’ve also made some other fun things together, like Valentine’s Day snacks, this DIY cracker Valentine’s Day activity, the sparkliest DIY Valentine garland (they love this one), and printable Baby Yoda Valentines. Clearly, we like making things!

Why These Valentine Treats Are Our Fave
These Valentine treats are a go-to recipe for me, because they’re so easy but they look really pretty and kind of impressive!
I also love them because the kids can help with almost every step — pouring, stirring, pressing, cookie cutting, sprinkles, and more! They love making them and it’s a very kid-friendly recipe.
Finally, I love that you can customize these for just about any occasion. Use a different shape cookie cutter and switch up your sprinkle color palette to change these up for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, Fourth of July, and more.

The Best White Chocolate for Melting
When I’m making a simple recipe like this, one that is made mostly by and for the kids, I don’t necessarily go for the highest grade chocolate. For the Valentine treats you see here, we used simple Nestle Toll House White Chocolate Morsels.
They melt in the microwave beautifully, and they’re easy on your budget.
For other, more specifically candy-focused recipes, I’ve used Ghirardelli White Melting Wafers. Those also melt really well and the flavor is a bit more rich and rounded.

How to Make a Custom Sprinkle Mix For Your Valentine’s Day Treats
Making your own special sprinkle mix is an easy way to take a baking project to the next level. They look polished yet fun, and add a colorful touch.
To create your own special sprinkle mix for this recipe, pull together a few different sizes, shapes, and types of sprinkles in one color palette.
For our sprinkle mix, we used peach mini pearls, tiny pink hearts, pink jimmies, and white and coral larger pearls. We also sprinkled edible shimmery stars, and used some edible letters. You can find these in the baking aisle.

How to Store Rice Krispies Treats to Stay Fresh
These Rice Krispies Valentine’s Day treats can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days before they start getting stale!
I find that they’re best the day after you make them. They’ve had a chance to firm up but they’re not stale, especially if you cover them tightly after they’ve cooled.
So I recommend making them the afternoon or night before you plan to serve them! You could also make in the morning to serve in the afternoon if you like them extremely fresh.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 bag mini marshmallows (10 oz)
- 3 TBSP butter
- 13×9″ pan
- spatula
- cooking spray
- heart cookie cutters
- white chocolate chips
- various pink sprinkles or a sprinkle mix
How to Make White Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispies Valentine’s Day Treats
Make Time: 1 Hour
- Make your Rice Krispies Treats according to the instructions on the box. Spread them into the pan and smooth out the top with a spatula that has been sprayed with the cooking spray.
- Use the cookie cutter to cut out hearts.
- Melt your chocolate according to the instructions on the packaging. To melt our white chocolate chips, we poured them into a microwave safe bowl and microwaved them on full power, 30 seconds at a time until they were melted. Stir in between each 30 second interval.
- Once your chocolate is melted, dip one side of a heart gently into the chocolate. If necessary, use a spoon to pool the chocolate up around the heart for better coverage.
- Place the dipped heart on a baking tray or a piece of parchment and immediately add sprinkles to the melted chocolate.
- Continue until all hearts are dipped and sprinkled. Allow to cool until the chocolate hardens.
Make these just for fun, or make them and hand them out as class Valentines! Happy baking! xoxo
