DIY Gold Leaf Easter Eggs

Hey hey, Monday lovers! Hope you had a beautiful weekend!

I have a special little golden something-or-other for you today. I felt like Veruca Salt making these gold eggs and I wanted a million of them. You can pop over and see the full tutorial right here, and make some of these gilded beauts for your own Easter basket.

Have a great week! xoxo

  1. saw your golden eggs and they are totally stunning. would love to do some of these this year but i was wondering if it´s safe to use the adhesive and golden leaf things because they are not made to come in contact with food, aren´t they? i know you just used it on the eggshell but when you peel it of there will be tiny bits of the adhesive and goldleaf on your fingers and on the eggs. would it be possible to use a sugar/water mixture as adhesive. so it´s less toxic?

    1. Hi Ema! I’d definitely say if you’re using the adhesive and/or the gold leaf that these are just for decoration; I wouldn’t plan on trying to peel and eat them. Also, I’ve never tried the sugar/water mixture as an adhesive for gold leaf but I have a feeling it might be too soupy and the gold leaf wouldn’t stick to it. Probably best to just call these decoration! 🙂

  3. Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any problems with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of hard work due to
no data backup. Do you have any solutions to protect against hackers?
