Quick and Easy DIY Wood Ornaments
These DIY wood ornaments come together in just a couple of minutes flat! They’re a perfect last minute holiday project for decor, gift toppers, and more.

Are you ready for the quickest, easiest, and coolest ornament DIY I’ve shared all season? I love when projects come together in a simple and satisfying way, and this one takes the cake.
The inspiration for this was (you guessed it) the boho Christmas tree that I created this year. Did you see all the other ornament and decor projects we created for it?
We made not just the beaded garland, but these boho snowy ornaments too. I added a few tassel ornaments (these are super easy) and created some pine cone fire starters, which also make beautiful decor. And finally, don’t miss these pretty pom pom ornaments in neutral boho shades!

Custom DIY Wood Ornaments
These lovely little ornaments are pretty self explanatory, but I did want to share some ideas for altering and customizing this DIY!
- Instead of simply hanging them on your tree, string a few on a garland and hang over a mantel or doorway.
- Group a few of them together, tie with ribbon, and hang from a doorknob or wall hook.
- Attach them to handles of gift bags for an extra little something on a holiday gift.
- Deliver to teachers or neighbors as a simple handmade present.
- Try painting the beads to change up the look of the wood ornaments.

Supplies You’ll Need
Wooden Beads. You can often find sets of wooden beads with varying sizes; these lend themselves well to a project like this one! You could even find different styles of beads to switch up the look of these DIY wood ornaments.
Leather or Faux Leather Cord. When you’re choosing cord, make sure that you choose something which will be thin enough to fit through the holes in your beads twice over (because the cord will be folded over on itself. Also, remember that you don’t have to use genuine leather! You can use a faux leather, or even a different material like cotton.
Scissors. A nice, sharp pair of scissors will make clean cuts in your cord.
How to Make DIY Wood Ornaments
- Start by cutting a 12″ length of leather cord.
- Fold the cord in half. Slip the ends of the cords through the holes in your wooden beads. We added three beads to each ornament, largest on the top, a mid-sized bead in the center, and smallest on the bottom.
- Tie the leather cord in a knot at the bottom of the beads.
- If you wish, you can also tie a knot at the top of the beads to keep them from slipping up the cord.
- Hang on your tree using the leather loop at the top of the wooden ornaments.

Those quick and easy wood ornaments are a great idea for last-minute holiday decor. It makes me think about how different kinds of work can pile up unexpectedly. As a student, I often find myself thinking “Need Help With My Assignment” when deadlines overla,p and topics get tough. How do others manage when things get hecti,c and you have less time than you planned?
Many students struggle with business assignments due to weak planning and unclear research direction. Step-by-step explanations can significantly improve clarity. I found helpful insights while exploring Business Assignment Helper study resources, which highlighted the importance of structured academic writing.
I just read this fun post about making quick DIY wood ornaments for the holidays and I love how simple the steps are, with beads and leather cord turning into cute tree decorations in minutes. I remember one year when I was stressed with my own studies and even used Accounting dissertation writing service to help me finish a tough part while I cut and tied ornaments late at night. That mix of craft and study made me think how little creative breaks can really refresh you when work feels heavy.
I like how the post shows that these wood ornaments are quick and simple to make with just a few beads and a leather cord, which makes them great for last minute holiday decor or even small handmade gifts. I remember a busy week before the holidays when I was trying to finish school work and exam prep at the same time, and that was also when I used the service Take my HESI exam for me just to keep up. Simple DIY ideas like this remind me that small projects can still feel meaningful.
