The Perfect Project for a Christmas Crafternoon

Have you ever experienced the loveliness of a crafternoon? I admit, I’ve had fewer of them since having kids, but they’re such a fun way to hang with friends!

Invite your crew over, have some snacks and drinks, and set up the materials for our DIY rhinestone Christmas ornaments. The DIY project will keep your hands busy while you all chat and eat. It’s a foolproof project, so you can get distracted and it will still turn out perfectly.

Let me know if you try these out with your pals! You could even do this project with kiddos if you supervise the glue for the younger ones. You could consider getting shatterproof ornaments to make it less stressful. It’s a great project for all ages.

Materials

Make Time: Five Minutes Per Ornaments

DIY Instructions

  1. Put a small dot of glue on the back of a rhinestone.
  2. Glue the rhinestone to the ornament, starting at the top by the base of the hook area.
  3. Continue in the same way until the top of your ornament is covered with rhinestones.
  4. Place the ornament to dry upside-down in the ornament box; this will stop the rhinestones from sliding down the side as the glue dries. Allow to dry for at least one hour.

More Ideas for your Rhinestone Christmas Ornaments

These are so simple but so cute, and I love how they look on a white tree. I love no-fuss, no-muss projects, don’t you?

And how fun would it be to get a bunch of materials for yourself and your pals, then make them and trade each other for your faves? Or put them together and guess who made which. Ha! Mine would definitely be the ones that looked like they belong on Rainbow Brite’s Christmas tree.

I also love projects that you can make in bulk and then give to all of your neighbors or friends as a holiday gift. These would make awesome gifts or gift toppers, and they’re very cost-effective but totally personal. I love that.

So schedule yourself a little Christmas crafternoon and get some bling on your tree ASAP! xoxo
