Ingredients for an Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail
This cocktail is made with some of our favorite ingredients and a mixer that you’re going to love! If you haven’t tried Agalima yet I can’t recommend their mixers enough.
Agalima uses the best, most fresh ingredients to create their organic mixers. And I really feel like they bring an elevated flavor to mixed cocktails, as opposed to some other brands that give a cocktail that telltale, overly-sweet taste.
This is top-level stuff, friends!

Bourbon. I love bourbon in a cocktail because it grounds a drink and really gives you a nice canvas to add sour and sweet on top of.
Agalima Organic Sweet & Sour Mix. Can’t say enough about the fresh flavor of Agalima’s Sweet and Sour!
Apple Cider. The fall flavors that the apple cider adds to the cocktail are just perfect.
Egg White. If you prefer, you can leave the egg out of this recipe. But the frothy, foamy cap that the egg white creates takes the cocktail to the next level!

Using Egg White in Cocktails
I personally love the egg white in our Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail! It creates that beautiful foam and thickens the drink to make it feel extra special.
If you’re using egg white, be sure you do a dry shake in the shaker before adding ice. This means that you’ll add all of the ingredients without ice, shake for 30 seconds to create the foam, and then add ice and shake to chill the drink.

Can You Make an Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail without Egg Whites?
Absolutely! If you leave out the egg white you’ll be left with a crisp, flavorful cocktail and no foam.
My recommendation would be to serve this cocktail on the rocks in a rocks glass. Then garnish with your desired garnishes.
How to Dry Apple Slices for Garnish with an Air Fryer
I wanted to dry some beautiful apple slices to garnish this pretty cocktail, so I did some experimenting and dried them in the air fryer! Here’s how.
- Slice your apples using a mandolin slicer or similar so that the slices are extra thin. These are about 1/8 of an inch. I sliced horizontally so that you can see the star in the center of the apple.
- Place the apple slices in your air fryer, being careful not to overlap.
- Set the air fryer to 200 and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the apples over and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until wrinkled around the edges.
- Let the apples set and dry until crispy.
