I love – and I mean love – a soft pretzel. There is something so enticing about biting into that warm, soft pillow of dough.

And what better to pair it with than a crisp, cold beer? It’s the perfect complement to a delicious salty (or sweet!) snack.

The PErfect Snack Idea

Whether you need a snack idea for the big game, for a college bash, or for an easy hang, the idea of soft pretels and beer pairings brings an extra element of fun to any party.

The beauty of these soft pretzel recipes is that you don’t have to make the pretzels themselves! (Although, if you want to make them from scratch we have a great pretzel bites recipe.)

These pretzels come frozen, and you can fancy them up by adding your own toppings to complement whatever beer your guests are drinking. The toppings make them feel elevated and special, but with very little work!

They’re so fun to make, and will take your game day celebrations or girls’ nights to the next level! If you’re hosting, you can even create a pretzel bar where guests can create their own flavors and try them with different drinks to see which work well together.

We came up with four incredible pretzel flavors: Bacon-Cheddar, Cinnamon-Sugar, Everything-But-The-Bagel, and Classic Salt. Read on for our recipe hacks and pairing recommendations!

Soft PRetzel and Beer Pairings

Now that your pretzels are prepped, pair them up!

  • We love the Everything-But-The-Bagel pretzel with a light pilsner
  • The Bacon-Cheddar is terrific with an IPA
  • For a sweet tooth, pair the Cinnamon-Sugar with a dry cider
  • And the Classic Salt just goes perfectly with a good old fashioned root beer, which would also be perfect for anyone under 21.

Hope you try this little hack at your next party! And I also hope that you and your guests always drink responsibly, 21 and over. Cheers! xoxo
