DIY Yellow Velvet + Hairpin Leg Bench
Not that we’re furniture-making experts around here, but hey this bench turned out pretty sweet, huh?! I swear it’s so easy you can make it even if you’ve never touched a drill before. And it’s the perfect little piece for a whole bunch of different spots in your house – we have it at the foot of the bed now but I think I might move it to the entry way. Or maybe bestow upon it the responsibility of being our new coffee table.
So get to it! You can find the full tutorial right here. It’s a low-pressure project with a high-five payoff. At least, we’ve been high fiving ourselves since we made it. But we tend to really love high fives around here so maybe it’s just an excuse. Whatever. Go make one for yourself! Xoxo
Oh you genius person! My wife & I have been **gearing up** to purchase our first house, which naturally means I have extensive secret Pinterest boards detailing the design I like for each room. My dream living room is full of color and comfort and joy, and for some reason I keep coming back to the idea of a bright yellow velvet couch — which is kind of hard to find/afford. This project would totally satisfy that craving! Thanks for sharing, Chelsea 🙂
Hooray! Would love to see your final product if you make it!
I am drooling over here! This is so beautiful!
Thanks kitten! Come over and sit on it sometime. 😉
I love that bench! You really did an amazing job!

So pretty! I recently made one almost like this using leather – but I really like the velvet, too! http://www.thedeanslistblog.com/modern-leather-bench/
Looks AWESOME with the leather!
Oh this is beautiful! A perfect way to light up a room.
