diy ribbon belt

I’ve been wanting to belt almost everything I wear lately — seriously, it’s a little out of hand.  Anyhoo, I was a little bit over the belts that I have, so I took it upon myself to make a simple little grosgrain ribbon belt.  It literally took me 5 minutes — so simple!  I think everyone should try one.  xoxo

Step 1: Get a length of ribbon long enough to wrap around your waist, and 2 d-rings. Fold one end of ribbon over twice, pin, and sew a straight stitch next to the edge of the rings.
Step 2: Hem the other end, making sure it will be folded under the right way once it's wrapped around your waist! (This crafty girl may or may not have found this one out the hard way...)

Step 3: Decorate! I was going to sew on some ruffles or make some flowers for it, but I didn't want to commit. So I pinned on a vintage brooch that my aunt gave me.
Step 4: Ta-daaaa!
