I’m torn. I’m always torn in August! It’s still VERY summer, but I start seeing autumn things in shops and kids are getting ready for school and I just get a little bit excited about fall, okay?! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pulling out boots or sweaters any time soon, but I did happen to add just the tiniest fall update to our studio decor that’s just enough for right now. This one’s a double duty, too, so if you need an organizational boost you can use that as an excuse like I did.
I spotted these gorgeous rose gold wire baskets at Michaels the other day and they were on super sale so duh I decided that it was finally time to reorganize some of my supplies. I’m always trying to figure out what to do with the rolled papers that we use for wrapping and photo backdrops, and the baskets we had just weren’t keeping things tidy. (See below for a horrifying photo of the state of my supplies before I finally fixed them up.) This one has nice tall sides so everything’s staying right where I put it. And the warm rosy color of the wire is just enough to get us ready to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall.
