Seven months with Sweet Marguerite is just so dang fun! She’s our last baby and that’s a little bittersweet, but we sure are aware of what a blessing it is to watch her grow. She’s just a little doll, guys. At this age Henry had big feelings and would really let you know about them. But Maggie? Maggie’s pretty even. She’s happy to be here, she’s an observer, and she is content to have quiet playtime with whoever might be up for it.
Every day she can do a little something new — she’s rolling all over the place now, starting to show interest on being on all fours, and getting the hang of eating her own finger foods. Her latest obsession is jewelry. If she’s within a 3 foot radius of a necklace or an earring you can bet she’s gonna be yanking on it. She’s happy to be passed around from person to person and usually likes to just stare at any new faces for a few moments before getting comfortable. She’s also starting to get a lot more giggly, which I love. In the past she’s tended to be a little quiet, as she’s always taking in the goings-on around her, but now she’s pretty ready to crack a smile.
Her favorite thing to say right now is “A duh duh duh DUHHHH,” which leads Ryan to believe that Dada will be her first word. I wouldn’t doubt it, but I keep trying to get that “ma ma ma” sound anyway. 😉 Although Henry’s first words were Dog and Truck, followed by Dada and Mama, so who knows! Part of me can’t actually believe we’re already talking about crawling and first words, because it seems way too soon. But as they say, babies don’t keep, and we’re just trying to hang on for the ride. Happy seven months, Baby Love! xoxo
