Friends, my favorite season is upon us, and I am so excited to give all the gifts! Last year I had my shopping done by December 1 and I’m here to lend you moral support this year if you want to do the same. I usually do the bulk of my holiday shopping online, and this year is no exception. But this year I’ve got a gift guide for you that will help any time you’re totally stumped. I call it: Gift Ideas for People Who are Notoriously Hard to Shop For.
We’ve all been there. You need to get a gift for that one person who you just. can’t. figure. out. Never fear, y’all. I’ve got all the answers for you, and this year they just so happen to be on Shutterfly. I didn’t actually realize it until I started really digging into their site, but they have a buuuuunch of really great gifts that you can personalize, and it goes way beyond photo books or calendars. Personalized gifts are no longer cheesy, and I’m here to show ya. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Here’s an idea for everyone on your list.
Your Fashionable Friend who Literally has Evvvverything Whip up a collection of personalized pouches and totes for her to keep all of her goodies organized.
Your Difficult-to-Please Mother-in-Law Just get straight to the point and give her photo prints of her grandbabies! You know it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Your Teenage Niece Who Won’t Put Her Phone Down If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Or at least give them a cool custom phone case so that they think of you while they’re scrolling through Instagram.
Your Boss Who Just Hired You So You Don’t Want to Look Like You’re Trying too Hard Forget the “World’s Best Boss” mug and customize a cool latte mug instead. Bonus points for filling it with chocolate.
Your Extremely Polite Neighbor Feed the beast and bring her some really pretty blank thank you cards as a hostess gift. And giggle when she sends you one to thank you for the oh-so-thoughtful gift.
Your Hipster Dog Walker A personalized copper flask puts a modern spin on a classic (and you know hipsters love that).
Your Dad. Because Aren’t All Dads Impossible to Shop For? A personalized growler is like the flask’s older, more manly cousin. Your dad is gonna think he’s the coolest.
Your Husband, Who Shouldn’t Be Hard to Shop For But He Is Frame a photo from your travels to really deliver that one-two punch right to the heartstrings.
So what about you?! Any holiday shopping goals this year? Are you a way-ahead-of-time girl or a last-minute-gift-ninja? I do know people who thrive on the pressure of the hunt late in the game. But I’m hoping our gift guide will inspire you to get it done — and that you’ll have your feet up, slipper-clad while you’re sipping something hot and cozy during the countdown to the holidays. Some great ideas here! I used to do a lot of my shopping far ahead of time, like October, but I really want to embrace it this year. I figure the closer to Christmas I do it, the more festive the whole experience becomes.
I just created a personalized mousepad for my teenage son on Shutterfly as a stocking stuffer! He’s on his laptop all the time anyway, so like you said: “Can’t beat ’em, join ’em. 🙂 I’ve been focused on checking off that Christmas list early!
The easy/fun part is finding and giving the gift; the hard part is figuring out what to get, right? Thanks for the tips!
