Week in Review

I’m still shaking my head in wonder that we get to say this, but: Modesto Children’s Museum is open to the public and thriving.
This absolute labor of love that we helped found in 2019 welcomed its first official guests through the doors on Thursday and we are all riding the high. It’s been years of our lives deeply dedicated to this, and worth every moment.
It’s incredible to see a project come to fruition that is truly by community, for community. Every person who donated, volunteered, helped get the word out, cheered us on, shared feedback, and followed our story is responsible for making this happen. It’s a project that has been embraced so warmly and it gives me so much hope for the future of my town.
The mayor was speaking at our ribbon cutting, and her words rang so true. We want to be a community who nurtures and cares for the development of our children, because they are the future.
How could anything else be true?!
Hope you have a beautiful weekend! xoxo
Okay I wore the teal jeans this week and can confirm — they’re incredibly comfy, flattering, and they don’t stretch out during the day.
New favorite fall nail polish color. It’s a good one for transitioning from summer.
Someone also asked me about how I make my manis last and look like gel. The answer is: this base coat and this top coat, with Essie or Olive + June polish in between.
Hocus Pocus 3 rumors!!!
This poem got me good this week. So short and so concise but it holds worlds of possibilities.
The other day Maggie asked me what weird stuff she used to do when she was a baby and I told her this.
Speaking of Maggie, her birthday is this weekend and I have so much respect for the treat she wanted to take to school to share with her class. Well done, kid.

I am a HUGE fan of Solitaire! I play it every day without fail, sometimes for hours on end 😅 I love zoning out with some of my favourite music and just playing it until my mind is completely clear! It’s such a calming game ☺️
If you are looking for a place to take a fall break, Brown County, Indiana, is the perfect cozy fall town! I went there last October, and it was amazing. Also, the new nonprofit project looks like a great idea. Music can have such a special impact on people, especially when they are young.
