Out & About // Hiking Fryman with Old Navy Active

Old Navy Active

We’re lucky enough to live just a couple of miles from Fryman Canyon, one of LA’s really great hiking spots. There’s a trail there that I love — in the morning it’s populated with old people, young people, and plenty of pups, all getting their fitness on. So when Old Navy approached me and asked if I wanted to test out their Old Navy Active line, I knew exactly where I’d want to take it.

The Active by Old Navy line is something I’d never tried before for my workout gear, but it turned out to be completely awesome! I chose the compression leggings, the GoDRY running top, and a padded cami. It was a perfect combination for an outdoor workout during this time of the year! First of all, can I just say that the pants have a little hidden pocket in the back? So brilliant for a workout where you need to carry a key and some money with you. And they have this crazy compression technology that keeps things from jiggling around, if you know what I mean.

Also, I usually shy away from workout tops with built-in sports bras, but this one has padding. Padding! It’s like an extra layer of comfort that keeps you from being self-conscious, but doesn’t get in the way at all. And that GoDRY top was the perfect weight — kept me warm but didn’t suffocate.

All in all, I have to say I’m a fan! And truly, the price point is incredible. It’s kind of scary what some of the fancy-schmancy fitness clothing costs. But this stuff doesn’t break the bank at all. In fact, everything in the Active line is 40% off until January 16th. So go jump on that deal and get your fitness on! Thanks, Old Navy!

  1. I am always on the look out of cheaper workout gear. How I never thought to check out old navy is beyond me. They have surprisingly a lot to choose from too!

  2. I have about five pairs of those leggings. They are my favorite–love the fold-down waistband and they are really affordable.

    1. Agreed, Sarisa! It’s crazy what some pieces of workout wear cost, but these are every bit as good as the really pricey ones, and they’re so affordable.

  3. Nice push ups!! Totally agree on the hidden pocket, I specifically look for workout pants with them now because its pretty much a necessity for carrying money and keys without any hassle 🙂
