We’ve visited Denver before quite a bit (it’s Mr. Lovely’s hometown), but this time around we decided to do something new and take a walking tour downtown. I was a little skeptical, but it turned out to be a total blast! We had an arranged tour through Denver History Tours — they have a whole menu of tours to choose from, but we picked the “Wild Side” version. It covered Denver’s history through the eyes of the conmen, the swindlers, the madams, and all the other villains you could think of.
I’ve never been a major history buff, and I think it’s because all of the history education I’ve had has been pretty dry and by-the-book. But seriously, I was nerding out over all of the great (and true!) stories our guide had for us, and it’s all sticking with me. (Oh, and the tour ends up at a brewery, where you get to sit and sample!) If you’re in Denver, you should definitely look them up! In any case, here are a few snaps I got during our tour. Isn’t Denver pretty? xoxo
Denver has just gone right up on my list of places to travel to. P.S. Cute pooch! 🙂
Beautiful. I had no idea! Great pix.
I’m so happy I found this post because I’m going to Denver for the first time in two weeks! I love organized tours and the fact that it ends at a brewery makes it even better. Also love your pics, they are really great!
