travel // columbus, oh

This is my third time in Columbus, and the third time that I’ve loved it here.  Even though in the last two days we’ve had rain, snow, wind, and freezing temperatures (in various combinations), I still think it’s a pretty cool city.  My favorite part?  The Short North — a cool little stretch of High Street that’s packed full of one-off boutiques, restaurants, and the occasional quarter machine with a fake chicken that pops out plastic eggs with prizes inside.  xoxo

  1. Hey! I am an old friend of Kirsten’s and she posted a link of your blog to her FB page. It has been fun to read about your craftiness and travels. When you all hit Louisville, check out the Highlands (on Bardstown Rd) for our boutiques, great places to eat and coffee shops. “Why Louisville” is like the hipster’s paradise for celebrating all things Louisville. Also, Quills on Baxter is a great place for coffee and lattes. East Market is also amazing. The best bakery (all natural and organic) is Cake Flour at 909 East Market. Have fun!

    1. Wow, thanks! That’s awesome — hopefully we’ll have time to check all of that out! It’s always nice to get the skinny from cool locals. 🙂 Glad you wandered around on the blog a bit. Hope you come back soon! xoxo
