This Week // 30

Backyard

We’re soaking up summer¬†hard over here, folks. I’m talking backyard movie time, featuring Grease and plenty of popcorn. I’m talking homemade pizza and Scrabble battles. I’m talking long days of lots of hard work and planning, followed by evenings and weekends of friends and fun and adventures. I love it. But I would also totally be lying if I said I wasn’t really excited for fall (I’m completely seasonally impatient.)

This weekend we’ll be brunching up with pals, hitting the movie theatre while we still can, and fixing up our baby registry! Can’t wait to share some of the things we’re looking at with you guys. My sainted sister is giving us a whole boatload of baby gear, so we’ve been trying to fill in the blanks and also register for a few off-the-beaten-path things (it’s how we roll, you know). Hope you guys have a gorgeous weekend — what will you be up to? xoxo

This Week’s Faves

Hey moms, think this would work as a diaper bag? Or is it maybe a little too big?
The lemon one, please!
I kind of love the idea of wearing baby’s initial around my neck.
Don’t worry. Be Yonce.
I’ve been searching far and wide for a great pair of clogs. How do we feel about these?

More Lovely

Connecting with your peeps. Digitally.
I love how nerdy my husband is.
Talking maternity clothes this week. The bump has officially started stretching out my regular shirts.
Make your own photobooth photo strips at home!

  1. Yes, that would totally work as a diaper bag. I too use an oversized tote for a diaper bag (and as soon as something is labelled “diaper bag” the price seems to double). Always better to have more space than not enough.

  2. I don’t think that bag is too big. I have multiple bags I use as diaper bags… and I use them for different purposes. (Plus nothing stinks more than forgetting your diaper bag!) The one thing I do love about “diaper bags” are the changing pads, and the pockets! Oh are the many pockets useful! Don’t be afraid to get several — they will essentially be your purses for the next few months, so find stuff you love and buy it!
