the royal wedding

I have to admit: I didn’t quite catch the royal wedding fever.  I didn’t really follow along in the days leading up to the big event, and I definitely didn’t get up in the wee hours to watch the ceremony.  But I have been oohing and aahing over the photos during the last few days.  My thoughts?  I just loved Kate’s choice of dress, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen; while past royal brides have been over-the-top, Kate chose something that was classic, elegant, and romantic.  I especially love the bouquet — small and sweet, with significance.  (Didja hear that it had not only Lily of the Valley and Hyacinth, but also Sweet William?  I’m sorry, but that’s just adorable.)

In any case, I’m happy for the happy couple, and glad for them that the hoopla has passed!  Let’s celebrate with a few more images from their lovely day.  xoxo

  1. I completely agree with everything you said. I ignored much of the news coverage leading up to their big day, but did enjoy watching snipets of it the next day and did smile over seeing the pictures.

  2. I really didn’t follow the hoopla either. But I do find a lot of inspiration in the photos of the big day. 🙂 I loved her flowers.
