thankful // the proper pinwheel & design for mankind

When you woke up this morning, what were you thankful for? I woke up excited at the prospect of cooking Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. Lovely for my family tomorrow, and grateful that I have the opportunity to do that. There’s no other place I want to be during the holidays than with my family.

I’m also so thankful for our guests today, Lexy from The Proper Pinwheel and Erin from Design For Mankind. These two girls are some of the most hardworking gals I know (with the kindest hearts!), and I’m so happy that they took time from their schedule to stop by and share with us. And as always, be sure to tell us in the comments if there’s anything you’re feeling particularly grateful about. xoxo

“I’m thankful for the friends and opportunities that have come my way this year. I’ve been working hard at two jobs (one full-time and one part-time) on top of all the avenues that come with blogging! It’s been an insane time, and I could not be more grateful to see an end in sight. I’m thankful for my wonderful husband who puts up with the DIY messes I create on a daily basis. I’m grateful for my dog who keeps me company when I’m feeling alone. I’m grateful for Diet Coke as it has kept me sane throughout all of the crazy. I’m grateful for television shows like Parks & Rec. Without them, I would not be able to laugh on a daily basis when recalling a quote from Ron Swanson. And I’m grateful for my readers and the encouragement and support I feel from all of them constantly! None of this would be worth it without them I’m also grateful for McDonalds Monopoly, but, luckily, that only happens once a year.”  -Lexy

“Things I’m thankful for (in no particular order!): Chunky knits, warm bowls of chili, fireside chats with my husband, fuzzy bunny slippers, quiet walks with my daughter, blank pages in my notebook and, of course, the Internet.”  -Erin
