Hey. Do you know about Pinterest? Not gonna lie, I’m a little obsessed with this site. It’s sort of a virtual pinboard, and helps to organize all of the things you might come across online that you love.

Here’s how it works. Say you are searching the internet for something – perhaps your birthday is coming up, and you are putting together a little wish list for inspiration (don’t mind me — just using this project to my own benefit!).  If you hit on something that you love, you can “pin” it with the click of a mouse and the photo of your item will be saved on a pinboard. You can do that for everything you find online and love, and soon you’ll have a whole board full of your favorite things, nice and organized in one spot! Kinda like this:

For a closer look, click here to see some of my other boards (in progress), and get an idea of all the fun stuff you can pin.

Now, I can picture my mom reading this and thinking, “Okay, I don’t get it. Why would I want to do that?” Well, Mom, because it’s not only an awesome way to organize the things you come across, but you can also look for inspiration on other folks’ boards! Some of my favorite bloggers are on Pinterest, and I love to peek at what they’re pinning. You can go check out your own boards and see everything you’ve pinned in one centralized location. I’ve also started boards of things that I’d like to remember in case I ever need a gift to give, or of beautiful photos that I don’t want to lose. It’s a clean, tidy, and inspirational way to organize your online finds, without having a zillion bookmarks in your folder. The site is still in private beta testing, so you’ll have to request an invitation to start pinning. But once that invite comes, pin away! If you try it and like it, let’s follow each other’s boards and share the stuff we love. Let me know what you pin! xoxo
