mr. lovely’s wedding suit

|

A month or two ago, we were out and about doing a little window shopping, and Mr. Lovely stumbled upon one of the most dreamy suits ever.  We were just toodling in the J.Crew at Rockefeller Center, and lo and behold — there it was, waiting patiently for us to discover it.  Mr. Lovely joked that he’d just found his wedding outfit,  put on the jacket, turned and looked in the mirror, and we both sort of froze.  It fit like a glove, and he looked like he had just jumped out of the pages of a magazine.  It was kind of perfection.

We left the suit, not wanting to jump on the first thing we’d found, but weeks later it was still calling Mr. Lovely’s name.  So when a 25 per cent off coupon from J.Crew came in the mail, we knew what we had to do.  We went back today to try it on and make sure that we still liked it, and (if it’s possible) it looked even better the second time around.

So that’s what my guy will be wearing when I marry him:  the J.Crew Ludlow suit, in Charcoal.  And I think that’s just lovely.

But here’s the real question:  neck tie or bow tie?  Leave a comment and let me know your vote!

xoxo

  1. I’m digging the necktie- it looks quite snappy with this suit. However, I think a bowtie might be more befitting for such a white veil occasion. Also, I like that you call him Mr. Lovely- that’s probably the best nickname I’ve ever heard ever.

  3. That’s a very handsome suit – it suits my handsome son! Great pick. I like the Bow Tie, but either one would be great.

  5. I say necktie … and not solid black. If you are feeling a bow tie is more formal, stop thinking! A Black satin bow tie IS formal when worn with a tux, and unacceptable with a suit (unless you are a waiter in a fuax upscale restaurant).
OK … it is my opinion, and I have been known to cause others to argue against my “opinion”. I however have seldom experienced being wrong.
    xxxs to the lovelies,
