We stopped in to Kate’s Paperie recently to get some wedding inspiration and supplies, and there happened to be a calligrapher in the store, customizing inscriptions in cards for Mother’s Day. I didn’t have a card for my Mom yet, and this year we got to also celebrate my sister, who became a Mommy last June, so I jumped at the opportunity to get something inscribed for them.
I found a couple of adorable cards and watched while the calligrapher worked her magic. (It’s kind of like looking at a lava lamp – I could just stare all day long). She painstakingly – yet effortlessly – wrote as I dictated, and then sent me on my way with strict instructions to let the ink dry before I closed the cards.
Both the cards and the calligraphy were a hit with the Mommies in my life, and I was so happy to be able to give them such a special little trinket! Xoxo
