We’re so lucky in the California Central Valley to have a whole bunch of really amazing local businesses flourishing right now. There are a few flower farms that I just love, and the other day I had the chance to visit one of them in person. Ryan and I took Maggie out to Wild Blooms Flower Farm during their farm stand hours to buy some stems and snap some photos.

Wild Blooms, like a few other local flower farms, has a roadside farm stand that’s open a few days a week for patrons to drive by, choose some blooms, and leave payment in a little box via the honor system, which I think is so hometown-y and cool. (You can follow their Instagram feed to keep track of the farm stand hours.) The rows of flowers are just behind the farm stand and make for the prettiest pictures. We caught the end of ranunculus season, and the pinks were just so pretty. Maggie had a ball running up and down the rows; they were so kind to let her explore. And I think she only crushed one flower in her little hands. 😉

We were so happy to meet Bronwyn, Wild Blooms’ owner, who’s a New Zealand transplant (no pun intended). She was telling us that they’re already prepping for summer flowers — zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers, and more. Maybe we’ll swing back by for the summer blooms and share some more photos! For now, hope you enjoy these snaps. And if you’re ever in the Central Valley, stop by and grab a bouquet! xoxo
