While I may not be the most devoted Sofia Coppola fan that ever there was, there’s one film of hers that I could just watch over and over again: Marie Antoinette.
It’s not historically accurate, it’s not too deep, and it’s not full of amazing dialogue, but GEEZ, is it beautiful to look at. There are certainly some touching moments, but for me, the highlight of the film is in the pastel smorgasbord of costumes, props, and food. It is just to die for. After I watch it, all I want to do is eat bonbons and wear feathers. Here’s what it makes me think of. xoxo
