Oh my lovelies, I get to see my family this weekend! Mr. Lovely and I are hopping on (yet another) cross-country flight today and we’ll be spending Christmas with my adorably crazy family. We travel back and forth a lot, but this California girl likes quite a bit of family time, so all the flying is definitely worth it. This year, because all of my cousins are getting older and starting their own family traditions, our usual Christmas happenings will be adjusting a bit, but it’s bound to happen I suppose. There will still be a big gathering on Christmas Eve with as many folks as can make it, followed by Christmas Eve Mass and a sleepover at my folks’ house with my sister, brother-in-law, niece, Mr. Lovely, and me! Top it off with a visit from Santa (yes, Santa still comes around) on Christmas morning and some more time with close family, and I’m a happy camper.
So I’ll be dreaming of a California Christmas as I hop on a plane at JFK today. What are your Christmas traditions? Are you finding that they change a bit as everyone gets older? I’d love to know your thoughts. See you here next week for lots more holiday fun! xoxo
