On Monday, my three darling and glamorous bridesmaids conspired to whisk me away and cart me around the city for a day-long bachelorette extravaganza. This was no small feat, mind you, as all three of them live in different states, and one of them is my sister, who happens to have a 10-month-old kiddo. Nevertheless, Audrey brought the baby and my Mom from California, Leslie flew in from Denver, and Jackie plotted and schemed from the road during the last weeks of our tour to make it all come together. Could I be any luckier?
They kept the whole day a surprise, revealing things only when we would arrive at a location. First stop? Blow, a blow dry bar where we got manis and blowouts.
After that we did a little shopping and cabbed up to Columbus Circle for lunch at Jean-Georges. Everything was absolutely, bizarrely delicious, but my favorites were the drinks and the dessert bites that were brought to the table. If you ever find yourself at Jean Georges, get the Fizzy Vodka Thyme Lemonade, and make sure to save room for the lavender macarons and homemade vanilla bean marshmallows. To die.Next up was a quick trip to Bloomie’s to get our makeup done (are you girl-ed out yet?) and a stop at my sister’s hotel for a wardrobe change. Then, on to our final destination, which ended up being Flute – a fun, swanky champagne bar. As we walked in, I expected a little table for the four of us, but the day’s final surprise was that we were having a co-ed party, with all of my best buddies! Everyone was there, along with Mr. Lovely himself, which was the perfect end to a perfect day. (Sorry ’bout the dark photos — I was having way too much fun to think about taking pics!)
We drank bubbles and chatted and celebrated, and all went our separate ways into the evening. And at the end of the day I was exhausted and happy, and so so thankful to have the sneakiest, sweetest friends & sister ever. Thanks girls! xoxo
