How to Host a Perfect Galentine’s Day

While we’re getting used to being parents, I’ve invited a few of my darling blog pals to stop by and share a post or two with you! I’m so grateful for the awesome folks who have been helping out, and today we get to hear from JessĀ of From Rain to Shine. Here she is!

Who doesn’t love a brunch with your best girlfriends right before Valentine’s Day? Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation coined the term “Galentine’s Day,” and we love the idea of a celebration of friendship and love with your gal pals on February 13th. This idea is so sweet, we thought we would show you how to DIY your own Galentine’s Day shindig!

How to Host a Galentine's Day

1. Invite your guests

2. Time to decorate! We have found some adorable additions to any Galentine’s Day party:Ā confetti | balloons | party decor | flowers | sequin table cloth

3. Decide on your menu: appetizers and salads? or a full brunch? whatever you think you and your gal pals will enjoy!

4. Leslie Knope is exceptionally good at giving gifts. Decide what your budget is and find gifts that fit you and your friends. Here are some adorable gifts we found: cupcake in a jar | a framed photo of you and each friend | heart pin | champagne candy

5. Serve delicious cocktails. Mimosas? Sangria? Find the perfect cocktail to go with your food and party!
