diy rhinestone iphone case
So I have this iPhone case that my sister gave me, and I love it. I love it so much, in fact, that I used it until the design started chipping off.
So instead of tossing it and looking for a new one, I obviously bought an inappropriate amount of rhinestones and got to work. This DIY is so simple you hardly need instructions, but just in case, here we go.
Grab an old iPhone case, rhinestones in various sizes, tweezers, and Liquid Nails. Spread a thin layer of Liquid Nails over a small portion of your case, and go to town! It’s kind of like putting a puzzle together, so it helps to have lots of tiny rhinestones to fill in gaps. The tweezers are great for dropping tiny rhinestones down and not getting glue all over your fingers.
Let it dry for a good 24 hours or so before popping it onto your phone. Now, let it be known that this case is not for the faint of heart. I took it out with me on New Year’s Eve, and have been giving it a rest ever since. But if you’re up for some attention, rock it out! xoxo
I like me some sparkle! May invite you to take part in my guestblogging challenge? I really like your DIYs! The topic is recycling/upcycling. Maybe you would like to take a look:

oooh so pretty. I loved that you just glued more on instead of throwing it away.
Also I love anything sparkly. Is it something in a woman’s genes that the second she sees something sparkly she becomes distracted and immediately walks toward that sparkly object?? I have found my self mid sentence just stopping and walking to whatever it is.
Yeah, I’m the geek who would probably rock this phone cover every day, not just on special occasions! Love it!

Makes me want an iphone even more…
You could do it to any case! Bling it up!
This is so fun! Blinkety bling!
OMG I have wanted to do this to my phone for such a long time!! I wont do it because I have a tendancy to drop my phone and the case that I currently have is one of those super durable ones that are made for klutz like me, haha!
Love the bling!!
Hi! I was wondering if this was possible with modge podge instead of the liquid nails? thanks so much!
Hi Emma! I think with ModPodge the rhinestones might not stick for very long — I’d go with something that’s a little stronger adhesive. Even plain old super glue would be great.

pro’s do not want one to be aware of.
Think tacky glue or goop (craft glue) is ok?
It would probably work for a while but my guess is that the rhinestones would fall off pretty quickly. Best to use something strong. These days I really like E-6000, you can find it at most craft or hobby stores.
