More Ways to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
We have a library full of fantastic holiday projects, recipes, and ideas! I took a moment to round up a few other ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day that I think you’ll love.
Mix up a Golden Irish Mule and cheers with family and friends! I love this pretty cocktail, especially if you add the edible gold flakes.

I love a hearty stew and some fresh baked bread on St. Patrick’s Day (I’m not a huge fan of corned beef and cabbage). Our stew recipe goes perfectly with this easy beer bread.
For dessert, these golden macarons are so simple to create but they look (and taste) amazing!

Supplies You’ll Need
You just need a few supplies to create this cool St. Patrick’s Day craft!
Leather Scraps. You barely need any leather to create the project. In fact, you could upcycle material from an old handbag, glove, or similar.
Scissors. Something nice and sharp is best for cutting leather.
Keyring. I love these gold keyrings. They have an interesting, modern shape and the gold tone elevates the look of the project.
E6000. This is my go-to adhesive for craft projects. E6000 is super strong but dries with a flexible finish, which makes it perfect for use with soft projects.
Pen & Paper. Any scratch paper will do, as you’ll just be needing it for sketching out the design.
How to Make this St. Patrick’s Day Craft
Make Time: 10 Minutes
- Start by sketching out a shamrock on your paper. Cut out the shamrock and trace onto the back side of two pieces of leather.
- Cut out the leather shamrocks. Also cut a small strip of leather, approximately 1 1/2″ by 1/4″.
- Fold the leather strip in half and glue the ends together. Then glue the ends to the back side of one leather shamrock.
- Spread glue on the back of the other shamrock and lay it carefully on top of the first. Be sure that the glue adheres but does not seep out over the edges. Wipe away any excess glue.
- Thread your keyring through the leather loop and add your keys!
Make More!
This St. Patrick’s Day craft would be a perfect one to make in large batches with friends at a crafternoon, or with teens.
Keep one for yourself and give some as gifts! This would also be a great craft to make for selling at a market or fair.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! xoxo
