Today’s the day! We’re sharing the final girl in our fruit doll series, Suzie Strawberry! I just can’t decide which one I like the best. But to get the backstory on this little project (and why it’s so close to my heart), be sure to read our first post. Follow that with our lemon doll and the pineapple doll and you’ll be all caught up. And I have to know — who’s tried to make one already?! I hope you’re testing them out (my great grandmother would be absolutely tickled).

Materials

Make Time: 2 Hours

Step 1: Download and print our Face/Arms/Legs pattern, and our Strawberry pattern. Cut out the pieces that you’ll need according to the numbers marked on the pattern.

Step 2: Follow Steps 2-10 from our Apple Doll post to create the doll. Just replace “Strawberry” wherever it says “Apple!” Instead of embroidering a shine on the strawberry, embroider a few French knots on the front of one of the pink pieces of fabric with white embroidery thread. We used this tutorial for French knots.

Step 3: Cut the strawberry crown shapes from the green felt. Use Fabric Fusion glue to glue one crown around the neck on the front, and another on the back. Allow all glue to dry thoroughly.

That’s it, sweet friends! Don’t forget to see Annie Apple, Lucy Lemon, and Penny Pineapple along with our Suzie Strawberry. I hope you’ve loved this series as much as I have, and I hope that a few of these dolls make their way into your kiddo’s hands this holiday season. xoxo

P.S. See all the fruit dolls right here!
