diy animal birthday candles

| | | | |

When Jenny from Hank + Hunt posted this DIY on The Sweetest Occasion, I just about lost my mind (along with everyone else).  Possibly one of the coolest ideas ever — and easy and cheap to boot!  The ever-brilliant Jenny got some dollar store animal toys, plastic candle holders, a drill, and some gold spray paint and combined them to make the most awesome candle holders I’ve ever seen.  So naturally, I decided to copy her and make them for Mr. Lovely’s birthday cake.

Wanna try it?  Don’t be scared just because there’s a drill involved!  It’s easy as can be, and took me all of about 20 minutes and four dollars.

For the full how-to, check out Jenny’s amazing post, and let’s give her a big hand for the inspiration!  xoxo

  4. Love this! I picked up some vintage bird candle holders that I love, but my son is not going to go for the pink birds. These are fantastic.

  5. Great job recreating these candle holders. When I saw Jenny’s DIY, I too almost died!!!! She’s stinkin brilliant…..!
