I double dog dare you to resist making this DIY, guys. It’s just too dang pretty! When the light shines through these lovely little wall hooks just the right way, I can’t stop staring. And now I have a pretty little place to hang some of my fancy lady accessories. These DIY agate stone wall hooks are such a simple project but have such a lovely impact on your wall.

My nerdy, geode-loving, third grade self is in absolute heaven. The hooks are great because they are form and function; they’re sort of like art that serves a purpose. Read on for the how-to!

Materials

Make Time: 5 Minutes (Plus Sugru drying time)

Step 1: Drill a pilot hole into the wall where you’d like to install your hook, 2″ deep.

Step 2: Use the Sugru to attach the head of a screw to the center of one of your agate stones. Press and mold the Sugru around the head of the screw and onto the center of the agate. Allow to cure until the screw and the agate are attached.

Step 3: Once completely cured, use your hands to screw the agate hook into the wall. Do not hold the hook by the agate stone; instead, twist the shaft of the screw between your fingers to screw it in.

Then just fill your hooks with your prettiest trinkets! We recommend light-ish objects for these; necklaces, silk scarves, and the like are perfect. And then they can double as decor on your wall. Aren’t these pretty? xoxo

  1. These are fabulous! I definitely plan on making some myself. What a perfect way to keep a hook on the wall all dressed up instead of being an eyesore.

  2. These are so beautiful – what a great way to add a pop of color and texture to a wall!
