Why Use Our Printable Sparkler Packs?
I have memories of being a kid at Fourth of July and feeling like I had to scramble and fight to get my share of sparklers. Can anyone relate?!
I love these printable sparkler packs because you can pre-portion your sparklers so that every kid (or grownup!) can get their share. Then you can just hand the packs out when it’s fireworks time!

Celebrating Safely
A note about handing out our Fourth of July printable sparkler packs to kids! Once you add the sparklers to the printed pack, be sure to give them to kids who are old enough to manage their own sparklers.
If kids are too young, you can hand them out by family or let adults or older siblings help younger ones.

Materials You’ll Need
These are quick and easy to make, and you probably have everything you need right at home! Check out our short list of materials with links to what you may need.
Materials
- sparkler pack printable
- white cardstock
- sparklers
- scissors
- craft knife and ruler (or you could use a paper trimmer!)
Make Time: 30 Minutes
How to Make the Sparkler Packs
Okay, let’s do this!
- Start by downloading our Fourth of July Printable Sparkler Pack.
- To print your sparkler packs for extra long sparklers (10″ or more), I’d recommend taking it to an office supply store to print it. It’ll need to be printed on 11×17 paper, and it’s best if the paper has a good weight to it. I printed at Office Depot on 100 lb paper and I was in and out in about 5 minutes.
- To print your sparkler packs for smaller or mini sparklers, you can print at home on cardstock. If you print at home, your sparkler packs will be about 8″ long. Just download and print at home as usual.
- Once you have the paper printed, cut out each sparkler pack. You can do this with a craft knife against a ruler, or with a simple paper trimmer.
- Use a ruler and a craft knife to make two small horizontal slits in the center of each pack.
- Slide your sparklers in and you’re ready to party!

How to Take Sparkler Photos
Obviously we had to go outside at night and take some crazy sparkler photos, duh!
If you want to take some too, just set your camera somewhere still (on a tripod if you have it!) and take a shot on a very long exposure. Try 3 seconds to start. Then wave your sparkler in the air to create a shape or a word.

Happy Fourth of July!
I think these little packs would be so cute set out during fireworks time at your 4th of July bash. Heck, use ’em at any party!
And I have to say it — any time you’re lighting up a sparkler, just use caution. I remember one 4th of July when I was about 8, my sweater caught on fire and my uncle grabbed me and spit on my sleeve to put it out before I even realized what happened.
So don’t catch anything on fire unless you want your uncle to spit on you. Or something. Have fun! xoxo

Awwwww, sweet Uncle!
Hi, love your sparkler idea. Wondering if you used white paper that printed red or if you used colored paper. If it was colored paper, does the printer print white for the letters? Sorry for the silly question : /
