You know the best way to spend a weekend? With brilliant, creative people, making cool stuff, eating crazy awesome food, and learning more than you can fit in your brain. Lucky me — that’s how I happened to have spent Saturday and Sunday.
Bri and Angela (assisted by Bekka) brought Blogshop to NYC, and I was super stoked to snag a spot. Joined by a handful of other blogger-type gals, I learned blog-specific Photoshop techniques from our fearless leaders. I knew it was going to be a good weekend when, on the first morning, a mimosa got plopped down right in front of me and my computer. During class. Boom.
Somehow, amid 16 awesome hours of a crash course in Photoshop, the girls treated us to all kinds of fun goodies — a mini photo session with Angela, a goodie bag stuffed full of fun treats, delicious meals from Radish, a group outing to the park, and a fun compilation video of the weekend. (I swear, I learned lots, too!) And much to my surprise, I won a copy of Photoshop CS5 of my very own!
And on top of all that (as if that wasn’t enough) it was such a treat to hang out with all of the excellent girls who were there taking Blogshop as well. Every time I meet a fellow blogger in person, I’m always taken by the sense of instant community and kindness that abounds. So thanks to Bri, Angela, and the whole gang — it was a ball! xoxo
