Out & About // betsy & iya

While we’re getting used to being parents, I’ve invited a few of my darling blog pals to stop by and share a post or two with you! I’m so grateful for the awesome folks who have been helping out, and today we get to hear from Rachel of The Crafted Life. Here she is!

Hi all, Rachel from The Crafted Life here! If you’re ever in Portland, brace yourself and your wallet because you’re going to want to spend all of you money at betsy & iya! Located in the NW part of the city, this brick mortar shop is part retail and part studio… and everything dreams are made of.

Because they make all of their jewelry onsite, you can even take a tour of their studio when shopping. That’s right! You might get a chance to meet the person who crafted the pieces you’ll be looking at/buying. And let me tell you, their staff, and boss lady Betsy, are nothing if not delightful.

Aside from their own line, they also carry a variety of work from other independent artists, ranging from body care, to accessories, clothing and more. Like I said, you’ll want everything.

What’s really exciting is the launch of their new collection, You + Me, pt. 1 (part 2 is coming this spring!). I was lucky enough to see these pieces first hand, and rest assured that they are even more beautiful in person. The necklace above might just be one of my favorites. The center actually becomes a ring that can be worn with or without the necklace. How cool is that?!

Even if you aren’t coming to Portland soon, you can still find their collection in other shops around the country and online. Be sure to follow them on Instagram too for more behind the scenes!

Thanks Rachel! For more inspiration, crafty DIYs, and pretty images, head over to The Crafted Life.
