A Giveaway For the Makers

Update: We have a winner! Congrats to Aileen for winning a box of supplies from For the Makers! Big thanks to all who entered.makers

Remember that whole post I wrote about how I consider myself a Maker? It’s for that reason and about a zillion more that I’m beyond stoked to bring you a pretty awesome giveaway today. Have you heard of For the Makers? If you haven’t, get on it yesterday! It’s a subscription service and website that makes creating so, so easy. You can sign up and each month they’ll send you a box of goodies to make specific projects, complete with instructions and all of the materials you’ll need. Cool, huh? They recently featured an interview with yours truly that you can read here.

They also recently sent me a mixed box of materials for funsies, and I got to create anything I wanted from the contents. My brain almost exploded. I mean, look at all of this fun stuff!

In the end, I decided to decorate that killer brass cuff. I glued on some pretty elastic and a chain of stones, and then went to town decorating it with these awesome vintage rhinestones. They had some shapes in there that I’d never seen! This is going to be a new fave for sure.

So one of you lucky ducks will win a box of materials from For the Makers, valued at over $50*! They’ll pack it full of some of their favorite items and you can make to your heart’s content. It’s seriously like Christmas when you open that thing. All you have to do to enter is visit For the Makers, come back here, and leave a comment about one of their projects that you’d love to make. We’ll announce the winner a week from today! (U.S. residents eligible only, gang.)

“We believe that we tell the world who we are through the things we create, discover, and share.” That’s their motto. I couldn’t have said it better myself. Happy entering! xoxo

*Contents of box will vary.

  1. I’d love to make the Malachite Rope Necklace! It’s super cute abd it’s a piece I could definitely incorporate into my wardrobe. It also uses techniques I haven’t even thought about doing.

  2. I would love to make the Fitzgerald Floral Embroidery project… so pretty! Ever since taking my 3D Design class in art school, I thought embroidery looked so fun and relaxing. 🙂

  3. I’ve admired their Bauhaus Collection for quite some time and sad that I had missed it. The beautiful simplicity in the contrast of black and white is such a classic. Would have loved to to make the Frida hair comb.

  4. Love this idea! I’ve heard of them but hadn’t checked their site out til now. I’m in love with the Afia Necklace. I’ve been wanting to make one like that for awhile now! Maybe I will soon….? 🙂

  5. I love crafts, and I love stamps, so my favorite is The Elaine. Here i Denmark we don’t have all the exiting stuff to make stamps ourselfs, as you have, so that woud be nice to try.
