30 by 31 wrap-up

BAM.  I turned 31.  I mean, do you ever feel like life literally flies by?  Mine seems to be.  But thanks to the 30 by 31, I’m having a ball in the meantime.  Read on a for a full wrap-up of the list, including the things I accomplished, the things I didn’t get done, and the things that happened all by themselves.  It was quite a year.  xoxo


  • See Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. {Completed 1 & 2 as of 2/24/12.}
  • Learn how to rag knit.  {Completed 10/26/11.}
  • Find and buy something fabulous from a thrift shop in the East Village.  {Completed 11/18/11.}
  • Be consistent with a food journal.  {Calling this one good.}
  • Have a beach bonfire.  {Completed 9/9/11.}
  • See World of Color at Disney’s California Adventure.  {Completed 9/6/11.}
  • Write my Grandma once a week.  {Mostly completed 1/8/12.}
  • Double my blog readership.  {Completed 9/1/11.}
  • Re-read The Borrowers. {Completed 6/1/11.}
  • Eat a dessert with bacon in it.  {Completed 7/10/11.}
  • Run a 10K.  (Completed 8/13/11.)
  • Watch Life is Beautiful.  {Completed 7/14/11.}
  • Visit my family at least three times. {Trip #1 Completed 5/1/11; #2 Completed 5/25/11.; #3 Completed 9/1/11.}
  • Paint along with an old Bob Ross episode.  {Completed 2/3/12.}
  • Re-memorize the 50 states and their capitals in alphabetical order. {Completed 11/19/11.}
  • Stop and enjoy my wedding day.  {Completed 8/20/11.}
  • Make macarons from scratch. {Completed 5/10/11.}
  • See my bestie. {Completed 4/22/11.}
  • DIY a pinata. {Completed 5/13/11.}
  • Make my own guacamole recipe. {Completed 5/5/11.}
  • Take a dance class that scares me.  {Completed 11/17/11.}
  • Sing in a choir.  {Completed 9/17/11.}
  • Teach my niece something.  {Completed 5/28/11.}
  • Book another show. {Completed 4/22/11.}
  • Readers’ choice!  Leave a comment with a goal for me to accomplish — something exciting, attainable, and awesome.  {Didn’t have a viable a reader’s choice, but I went to 5 Disney parks this year, so does that count?}


  • Do one unassisted pull-up.  {I swear I’m getting closer…}
  • See Delaware.  {Putting this one on next year’s.}
  • Complete 30 hours of concentrated piano practice.  {Completed 16 hrs. as of 2/10/12.  I’m over it.}
  • Go up to the crown of the Statue of Liberty.  {Currently on pause – no crown tickets available.}
  • Get an agent. {Don’t even get me started on the state of the musical theatre biz in NYC.}
  • See a concert.  {What?! I saw about 20 Broadway shows this year and I didn’t see a single CONCERT?!}


  • Performed on The Today Show.
  • Became a contributor at Society Social.
  • Created a DIY project commissioned by
  • Spent perhaps the best summer ever in Sarasota, FL doing Cowgirls.
  • Drove away from my wedding in a ’57 Chevy with my newly minted husband.
  • Was able to be at the weddings of two very good friends.
  • Took Blogshop and went to Alt!
  • Created and styled a centerpiece for Bailey’s.
  • Helped write and arrange some awesome music and cut a demo.
  • I started accepting sponsors on Lovely Indeed.
  • Spent some wonderful time with my Grandma during her final days.

  1. of course like your website however you need to check the spelling on quite
    a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling issues
    and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality nevertheless
