travel // new hampshire & maine

Welcome back for part two of my birthday road trip recap!  If you missed the first part check it out right here.  On day two, we took the scenic route through New Hampshire on our way to Kittery, Maine, which is right on the border of the two states.  We stopped at Bob’s Clam Hut (a local fixture since the ’50s, and a stop on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives) for a clam roll and some local flavor.  Then we headed up the coastline just a bit into York, where we stopped to check out the Cape Neddick Lighthouse — probably my favorite part of the whole trip!  Pretty doesn’t even begin to cover it.

We wrapped up our day and our trip by roaming around in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  It was a quick weekend, but so worth it for a little relief from the big city.  Thanks for following along — have you been anywhere recently that’s worth a mention?  I’d love to hear!  xoxo

Lovely! My grandmother was born and raised in upstate New York and when she passed we all got one of her lighthouses from her collection. Any time I see them I think of her. Glad you guys had a great time!
