Yesterday Mr. Lovely and I took the quick trip to Malibu for a little beach time! Have you ever been to El Matador beach? It’s a really cool spot. The beach is backed right up to these gorgeous rocky cliffs and there are caves and rocks that you can climb around and explore. We went midday at low tide so we could walk through the caves and check out the tide pools — if you look hard, you can find urchins and other little sea creatures. If you’re going to head to El Matador on a summer weekend, I’d recommend getting there before noon to find a good parking spot and claim a nice piece of beach. Also, be ready for a trek down to the beach! It’s a climb down the hiking trail and stairs, but totally worth it. Here are some snaps from our day! xoxo
