one year later

A year goes by in a flash, huh? I swear there’s no way it’s been twelve whole months since I was zipping up my wedding dress and walking down an aisle. But then I think of all of the things that we’ve done during this year and wonder how we fit it all in. They say the first year is the hardest — and if that’s the case, we’re in pretty good shape. I know we’ll look back at our first year of marriage with a certain wistfulness — footloose, fancy free, young, not-so-starving actors, searching for adventures together. I also know that in the coming years our life together will take root somewhere, maybe there will be babies, maybe there will be jobs, and it will be different. But regardless of what each year brings, this first year will always be the start of our great adventure.
