international swap

One of my favorite things about blogging is collaborating with other bloggers — so when Sophie from Ma Petite Valisette contacted me to participate in an international goody swap, I was all for it!  The swap is Sophie’s brainchild, and basically it goes like this:  she’s collected a group of blogger volunteers, paired up one American blogger with one French blogger, and hooks them up to send each other some fun paper goodies.  Easy as that.

I’m excited to say that my swap partner is Francoise, from A L’Ombre du Marrionnier!  She’s just adorable, and we’ve been in contact in a language that lies somewhere between French and English.  I put together a little package to send her and thought I’d share it here as well.  I thought it would be cool to include some of my handmade DIY projects from past posts, along with some new things that I collected or made for the occasion.  I made some custom labels for her and popped it all into a box to ship overseas.  Here’s what Francoise received.  xoxo

1.  Shipping labels like the ones we used for wedding placecards.

2.  Red baker’s twine.

3.  A hand-carved stamp in the shape of a bird, with a stamp pad.

4.  Handmade chevron contact paper.

5.  Custom printed glassine bags (inspired by these).

6.  Vintage Paris label stickers.

7.  Handmade heart garland.
