glitter garlands

March 19 2012 |

Remember the DIY glitter garland I made forever ago?  Well, it kind of took off (see more incarnations here and here), and I recently had a request from someone special for some that might serve as inspiration.  So I chose some words & phrases and went to town!  Here are the results.

If you’re finding yourself in need of a wordy little sparkle garland, don’t be shy — contact me and we can talk about a custom garland, just for you.  xoxo

    1. I did! I started making them double-sided, so that the thread is sandwiched between two glittered letters. I just cut out an extra set of letters, glittered the front of one set and the back of another, and glued them together. 🙂 Good eye!

  1. Hi, Chelsea! I first saw your valentine garland when Ez from Creature Comforts featured it last year, and I loved it SO much–it started a frenzy of garland making! I don’t think I ever commented on the original post but thank you for the inspiration. I love how you’ve added the instructions to use the masking tape (that’s how I found you again today–just a general “word garland” search because I remembered seeing the use of masking tape somewhere . . . turns out that was you as well!). 🙂 That’s an excellent tip and one I’ll try the next time I’m making one. Thanks so much!
