We’ve been traveling all summer and now that fall is approaching, we’ll be staying in one place for a bit. I’ve been missing seeing friends, since everyone has been on the go for a couple of months! So to have an excuse to gather, we’re planning on hosting a little “summer detox” brunch for some pals. I had the idea to serve some beautiful fruit and herb infused waters instead of the general boozy brunch beverages, to help detox from all the summer celebrations and freshen up a little.

You can put together this gorgeous little spread in just a few minutes — it’s so pretty for a brunch, a shower, or any pretty occasion! You just need a few things.

Ingredients

  • fresh fruits like berries, melons, or citrus, cut up in individual bowls
  • sprigs of fresh herbs like mint, basil, or rosemary
  • ice
  • Brita pitcher with freshly filtered water

Set up your fruits and herbs in various pretty bowls or dishes. Leave an ice bucket and some glasses for your guests, and as they arrive invite them to make themselves an infused water! Start with ice in a glass, and add your favorite combinations of fruits and herbs. (Some of my favorites are grapefruit-rosemary and blackberry-mint!) Pour some fresh, filtered water from your Brita pitcher over the ice and fruits and enjoy sipping as your water becomes infused with your favorite flavors.

Isn’t it just the prettiest? It also feels so good to detox a little after so much travel and too many mimosas at brunch. And not that we need an excuse to gather, but it sure is a lovely reason to have friends over and celebrate the end of the summer.
