If I can’t be at Old Navy’s carnival party in NYC this weekend, then you had better believe I’m going to bring the carnival to me! I haven’t done a photobooth backdrop in forever, and I thought this was the perfect occasion to fire up the series again. This one is so simple and so fun, and would be perfect for your own carnival-inspired bash.

Materials

  • roll of tickets (I found these for $2 at a garage sale, but party supply stores have them as well!)
  • poster putty, Glue Dots, or double-sided tape
  • blank wall

Make Time: 30 Minutes

Decide the height and width you’d like your backdrop. This one is 5′ x 4′. Tear off a row of tickets, and apply your poster putty to at least four spots along the back of the row. Hang and be sure that the first row is level!

Continue this process until your backdrop is the size you’d like! It’s beyond easy and comes together really quickly. Set up a camera and snap away.

    1. Hi Vanessa! Yes, one roll of tickets was plenty — I had about half the roll left over. You might want to do some quick math about how long and wide each ticket is and how large you’d like your backdrop. I planned mine out with measurements first according to the size of my tickets. Have fun!
