New Instagram Series // #heartattack

Instagram Series // Heart Attack

I had such a blast with my last Instagram series that I decided to do another one! I’m a few days in, but be sure to follow along to see how it progresses. This time around, I’m attacking the world with love and making hearts out of anything and everything I see. If you want to follow or join in the fun, be sure to use #heartattack to tag your photos. (In related news, did you know that Demi Lovato has a new single, also called Heart Attack? Yeah… The Instagram hashtag is pretty solidly Demi, but I’m sticking with it. No guts, no glory.)

So! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with all the love, and tag me in any #heartattack photos you might contribute! xoxo

Giveaway // Artifact Uprising

Update 4/15/13: Congratulations to Ginny Corbett! Ginny, we’ll be in touch to let you know how to claim your prize. Entries are now closed. Many thanks to all for entering, and stay tuned for more giveaways coming up.

When Mr. Lovely and I met the Artifact Uprising folks at Alt Summit, we were immediate besties. We both fell in love with their vibe, the mission of their company, and their gorgeous product (not to mention, they’re great company at a party!). We started talking collaboration after we all returned home from Alt, and I’m so happy to have them here on the blog today!

Firstly, if you haven’t visited their website, you gotta get over there immediately. One of their mottos is “Off Your Device / Into Your Life,” and their site reflects that gorgeous sentiment. And aside from that, the photo books (and boxes and calendars!) they print are just so, so lovely. So lovely, in fact, that they let us print one of our Tahiti honeymoon photos! When we got it in the mail it was like taking the trip all over again. And the quality of the books that they print is almost kind of dreamy — beautiful paper, cool design choices, and the perfect size. Here are a few peeks from ours.

One lucky reader will win a 70 page, 8×6 Softcover Book to fill with your own photos! To enter, visit Artifact Uprising and come back here to leave a comment, either letting us know something you love about the site or what you’d fill your photo book with. I seriously can’t wait to give one of you this book — we can’t stop looking through ours. And while you’re visiting the AU site, be sure to peek at their blog; Mr. Lovely and I wrote a post for them recently! Happy entering! xoxo

I’m wrapping up the series today so be sure to follow my Instagram to check out the last post, and scroll through to see all of the others. But fear not, because I’ve got another series up my sleeve for April. And if you have an awesome idea for an Instagram series that you’d love to see, put it in the comments!

Family Photos // Siblings

ac3

Do you have siblings? My sister is expecting a new baby, and so pretty soon my niece will be a big sister! I got to thinking about how cool that is and how I love having a sibling, and so today’s Family Photos is chock full of embarrassing photos of me and my sister when we were tiny.

I don’t remember a ton of specific moments about being little and having an older sister, but what I do remember is pretty much letting her be in charge of what happened to me. Want to put stickers all over my face? Okay! Oh, you want to dress me up like a bride? Go to town! And whatever she decided we were doing was fun. (Then came the day when she would rather hang out with her friends than me, and I did not take that well. Cut to me, literally biting her friends when they came over to play. Ha!)

Another thing that struck me when I was looking through these old photos was how many were of her taking care of me somehow. Reading me a book. Giving me my bottle. Entertaining me in my high chair. She was (and is!) a good big sister. And I can’t wait to see my niece learn to be a good big sister, too. She’s got the best teacher around. xoxo

New Instagram Series! #organizedcolor

Are you following me on Instagram? If you aren’t, you should be, because I just launched a new Instagram-only series today! It’s going to be rad. It’s all about color and organization — two of my favorite things.

Screen Shot 2013-03-12 at 12.33.07 PMI actually posted that orange photo a while back and it was a hit! So the #organizedcolor idea was born. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and watch for the hashtags! Play along if you like by making your own organized color posts. Here we go! xoxo
