A Few of my Favorite Things

I was so fortunate recently to find a group of the best makers, who helped fill the gift bags for the West Elm event with their goodies. I really wanted to fill the bags with things from shops that I love, or things that I own and use every day, and I was pumped when some of my favorite shop owners said that they were willing to help out! It’s such a pleasure to be able to give things that you truly love. If you’re looking for a few stocking stuffers for the holidays, you should definitely check out these lovely shops — they’re all full of gorgeous stuff. Check out what was stuffed in the gift bags!

I couldn’t help kick it off with a little treat from Lovely Indeed, so I made some cement gem ornaments and included them (DIY coming soon!)

Thatch and Thistle sent over some of the teeniest little clothespins, painted in holiday colors. The shop is also full of all kinds of fun twine, garlands, and fun packaging materials! But I think my very favorite are these gold straws. I need some, ASAP.

Genevieve Santos has been a favorite of mine since I saw her stuff at a Renegade Craft Fair last year. She included the most adorable holiday card you’ve ever seen! I also love these little stickers for sending snail mail.

Lana Frankel created some absolutely perfect holiday gift tags and included sets for all of the guests. It’s impossible to pick a favorite! (But it’s hard to beat a reindeer dog…)

Treasure Imports is my go-to Etsy shop for midi and knuckle rings! I stumbled upon it a couple of years ago and have been wearing her stuff ever since. Tracy was kind enough to make individual rings for every guest — I was just floored. (This is the one I wear on my knuckle.)

Amanda Catherine Designs sent little sets of New Years pencils for everyone, and I just love these. I’ve been pinning her printed pencils for so long, and they’re even cuter in person than on Pinterest. (I’m also loving this holiday print! Might have to snap it up.)

  5. Love the card and gift tags! Holiday gift tags getting new life! Gone are the days of generic peel and stick. There are some great artists creating wonderful ways to personalize presents.

LOVE those Kate Spade inspired New Years pencils!! I have a lettering press in my basement from when my mom had a stationary store, and used to make pencils like that with my name on it. Might have to bust it back out and make some like this for myself!
